On October 21, 2022, from 6-9 pm, the Chicago Council will host a fundraising event, Next Chapter: Age of Innocence, an evening reminiscent of the Gilded Age. The event will be held at the American Writers Museum. Come enjoy a night of colleagues, conversations, and cocktails and to learn more about the American Writers Museum (AWM).
The AWM, located in downtown Chicago, is the nation’s first and only museum dedicated to American writers and their enduring influence on our history and culture. The museum’s interactive and hands-on exhibitions are designed to teach and inspire visitors about the past, present, and future of American writing.
The purpose of this event is to raise funds for the Museum's Write In Youth Education Program that primarily serves middle and high school students from under-resourced schools in Chicago and nationwide. Our goal is to raise $30,000 for this unique program.
The Chicago Council is a group of dedicated professionals including attorneys, consultants, and other business leaders from the Chicago community. This year we are coming together to make Next Chapter: Age of Innocence an evening to remember.
