Life in the Freelance Lane: Business Basics for Succeeding in the Gig Economy

Perhaps you’d like to turn your writing hobby into a career, or are contemplating making the leap from full-time to freelance work. Or maybe you just want to brush up your entrepreneurial business skills for even greater success.

If you’ve checked any of the above boxes, come benefit from a crash course filled with essential, practical pointers on the how-tos, opportunities, challenges and rewards of being an independent writer. Presented by the Midwest’s largest organization of professional freelance writers – Independent Writers of Chicago – hear it all first-hand from three IWOC members who’ve built their own thriving freelance writing careers by practicing the business basics they preach. Lively Q&A to follow.
